Terms of Reference
FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE
• preparing an action plan for the coming year to be presented to the club at the end of each November;
• exploring new fundraising activities including applications for government grants, raffles and hands-on events;
• setup ad hoc committees for various fundraisers; and,
• liaise with the Ways and Means Committee
MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
• provide new member orientation to inform, obtain feedback, survey interests and partner them with a club
mentor;
• to liaise with existing members to encourage involvement and participation;
• promote Kiwanis fellowship by arranging inter-club meetings;
• obtain feedback from guests about club meetings;
• encourage guests to return;
• organize a membership recruitment drive;
• conduct exit interviews;
• develop a prospective member profile to completed by all club members
WAYS AND MEANS COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMITTEE
• receive suggestions for funds distribution;
• investigate requests for monies from individuals or the community;
• design, develop and recommend projects for the use of community funds;
• assist the Club in implementing funded projects;
• form links with other community groups;
• report regularly to the Club on committee activities
FINANCE COMMITTEE
• to oversee the establishment of annual financing plans;
• to assist the Club, through the Executive Committee, to implement the financial plans;
• to report to the Club Members on the activities of the committee;
• to provide the Club direction with financial procedure and policy
HOUSE COMMITTEE
• arrange for a meeting place and meals as appropriate;
• check meeting table placement, podium and any equipment required to facilitate the meeting proceedings;
• make arrangements for visitor's meals;
• assign a house member to provide a warm welcome for members and guests as they arrive at the meeting;
• to thank the guest speakers or prospective new members at the end of the meeting; and,
• The House Committee is responsible for congratulations/condolences, as necessary
